We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Digital Systems with a strong background in e-commerce, particularly with Shopify Plus, to lead our digital transformation initiatives. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the strategic development, implementation, and management of our digital systems to enhance operational efficiency and improve customer experience. This role manages a team of Developers, Quality Assurance Engineers, Project Managers and Business Analysts. This role will be responsible for driving the bi-weekly releases for ecommerce software development projects. This role works closely with the business teams to prioritize initiatives to define the scope of projects.

Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities:

Lead and mentor a diverse team of software development professionals, including Developers, Quality Assurance Engineers, Project Managers, Business Analysts
Foster a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging professional development and knowledge sharing .
Ensure team is building scalability and reusability of solutions
Manage relationships with third party vendors for the execution of initiatives
Responsible for the Capex/Opex budgets for e-commerce projects
Facilitate meetings with leadership and provide relevant project updates
Responsible for working with leadership to drive the software development roadmap
Responsible for managing the software development life cycle
Manages the execution of technology projects including the timeline, scope, issues/risks
Collaborate with cross functional teams to define project scope and ensure technical feasibility.
Responsible for the implementation of data analytics tools
Implement 3rd party platforms with the Shopify Plus e-commerce platform
Experience in integrating marketplaces with Shopify Plus



Key Qualifications & Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
8+ years of experience in digital systems management, with at least 4 years in a leadership role
Proven experience with Shopify Plus or other e-commerce platforms, including a deep understanding of its features and capabilities
Proven success managing the implementation of Omni Channel projects
Experience implementing international e-commerce sites
Experience with Scrum/Agile software development methodology
Strong proficiency in web development languages (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and familiarity with programming languages (Nodejs, React).
Experience developing mobile apps
Strong understanding of strategies to improve Google Core Vitals
Experience implementing strategies to improve SEO
Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with a track record of building and leading high-performing teams.
Strong communication, interpersonal, analytical and problem-solving skills
